Well, the day is here to start my 101 goals in 1001 days project. This is a wonderful opportunity to actually do some things that I have been "putting off until tomorrow". The list and blog setup are a great system of accountability.
I fully believe in using this life that God gave me in wonderful and exciting ways. Lots of things have gotten in the way for me to actually live my life that way. I am hoping this list helps me rectify these things, such as my self esteem.
Although my list may not look like much to an outsider, it is a list that will push me beyond my boundaries of comfort. Some things that were on my original list I have already started; such as buy a bike and ride it with Joey. That one I checked off before I even started. That helps show me that writing this list and defining goals has helped me push myself. Before I would not have gotten on a bike for fear of being taunted, looking stupid for not being a Size 0 while riding. This is still a problem for me, I mentally beat myself up every time I go to get onto my bike. But I am learning to shut out that ugly inner voice... and am riding with Joey almost every day now. I had forgotten what a wonderful adventure it is to ride a bike. Hopefully, I will continue to push myself in amazing ways and my next list can be even better. So off to start achieving these goals and blogging to you about them...tally ho!!!
PS- I have also found a great new motto: Its not an option! I found it in a great book about a lady overcoming her ugly inner voice called Secrets of a Former Fat Girl by Lisa Delaney. This is a wonderful book about improving your overall self-esteem and stop beating yourself up.
